What is this event?
This is not your average picnic—it’s a cake picnic with a springy, styled photo setup perfect for snapping a quick portrait with your friends, kids, pets, or just a lovely solo moment. It’s free, fun, and community-focused!
And yes—your photos are FREE to download (as long as you’re following Emily on social media!).
How it works:
- Bring a cake to share
- Bring an empty container to take home slices from others (yes, it’s a cake swap!)
- Follow @EmilyLuptonPhotography on Instagram and Facebook
- Show up, enjoy the picnic, and after the event you’ll receive free digital downloads of your portraits!

What's new this year?
Emily will be setting up one or two styled picnic scenes, including a brand-new feminine pink setup with vintage glassware and a second picnic basket for added charm. Whether you're posing with your cake, your dog, your friends, or just soaking in the sunshine—every shot will feel cozy, whimsical, and totally Instagram-worthy.
Why we’re doing this:
This event is all about connection, creativity, and community joy. Whether you’re a longtime member of the Cincinnati Girl Gang or a brand new lady in the city, you’re invited to come hang, eat cake, and make some sweet memories.
It’s totally casual, totally free, and totally fun.
